EMDR Integrative Healing Intensives

Focused Time. Deep Work. Meaningful Change.

Sometimes, weekly therapy is not enough.

You may feel ready to move through something present for years — trauma, relationship patterns, sexual shame, attachment wounds, or experiences that continue to live in the body.

EMDR Intensives provide dedicated time to focus deeply and intentionally, allowing the healing process to move forward without the repeated starts and stops of weekly sessions.

EMDR Intensives provide dedicated time to focus deeply and intentionally, allowing the healing process to move forward without the repeated starts and stops of weekly sessions.

At Romeo’s Sensation, intensives are structured, paced carefully, and designed to support safety, stability, and lasting change.

What Is an EMDR Intensive?

An EMDR Intensive is an extended therapy session (or series of sessions) completed over one or several days.

Instead of meeting weekly, we work together for several hours at a time so your nervous system can stay engaged in the processing work. This format often allows for deeper progress in a shorter period of time.

EMDR Intensives may help you:

  • Process trauma more efficiently
  • Reduce long-standing emotional distress
  • Move through stuck relationship or attachment patterns
  • Address sexual trauma, shame, or avoidance
  • Strengthen internal resources and emotional regulation
  • Create meaningful shifts without months or years of weekly therapy

Each intensive is individualized based on your history, readiness, and treatment goals.

Who Intensives Are For

EMDR Intensives may be a good fit if you:

  • Have a specific trauma or experience you want to focus on
  • Feel stuck in weekly therapy and want to accelerate progress
  • Have limited availability due to work, travel, or scheduling
  • Are seeking focused work around sexuality, intimacy, or identity
  • Want privacy and a contained therapeutic experience
  • Are currently working with a therapist and need short-term trauma processing

When appropriate, I am happy to coordinate care and return you to your primary therapist after the intensive.

Virtual intensives

Available for clients located in Delaware, Nevada, Florida, and Maryland. Additional locations may be available depending on licensing requirements and state regulations.

Sessions are conducted through a secure telehealth platform and follow the same clinical structure, preparation, and integration process used in in-person intensives. Clients will receive guidance on preparing their environment to ensure privacy, comfort, and emotional safety throughout the intensive process.

In-Person Intensives — Medellín, Colombia

In-person intensives are offered in a private, quiet setting designed to support emotional focus and nervous system regulation.

Many clients experience this format as a retreat-like environment that allows them to step away from daily stressors and fully engage in the healing process.

This option also allows clients to receive high-quality intensive trauma treatment at a significantly lower overall cost than most comparable U.S.-based programs.

In-person intensives in Medellín are designed as fully supported therapeutic immersions. Pricing is intentionally kept competitive while including logistics and somatic supports that are typically billed separately in the U.S.-based programs.

Preparation and Integration

EMDR Intensives include structured support to ensure the work is safe, contained, and sustainable.

Services include:

  • Consultation and readiness assessment
  • Preparation session(s) focused on stabilization and resource development
  • A customized intensive treatment plan
  • Post-intensive integration session(s) to support continued adjustment

Additional preparation or integration sessions are available if needed.

Areas of Focus

  • Sexual trauma or shame
  • Relationship and attachment patterns
